Art Gallery day

We started our day At the Suntory Art Gallery, which was showing art in the style of Edo Rimpa. We were too early! What an amazing Group of women!

It was lovely to see the beautiful Japanese art of the 1840 s.

we especially liked the Morning Glory panels.image

After this Gallery, we went to…. You never Guess it…. The National Arts Gallery which had an exhibition on Salvator Dali.

We had lunch on our own. Some of us had ramen At a bar and it was delicious!

Only way to eat the soup is to slurp it, as they do not give you a spoon.

OK, had to take a Photo of the toilet. Toto toilets are mini bidets and they have heated seats and even play music to hide your noise! LOLimage image image

Japan has 127 Million inhabitants of which 13 MM live in Tokyo, which is its night time population. During a working day it reached 36 MM people, so it is very crowded. The population has not changed since 2009.

Japan is the Size of California : 70% is mountains, 5% lakes and rivers and 25% they all live in.

There are 48,000 persons over the age of 100, and 30,000 women @ average age 86 and 18,000 men aged avg. 81.
