Day 3 : Croatia Friday Oct 6th 2017

Friday, Oct. 6: Plitvice Lakes, Zadar, Split
Today’s drive takes us to the highlight of Croatia’s interior; the
World Heritage site of Pltivice Lakes National Park. The forested hills
and turquoise lakes are absolutely gorgeous. We  hiked the area,
enjoying fantastic views and photo ops as we explore the lakes and
waterfalls on foot. Our drive continues out to the coast to Zadar, an
historic town of Roman ruins, medieval churches.  We saw the Sun Salutation and Sea Organ, a whimsical creation that produces a  very hunting sound. Then off to dinner and the tuna steak was great. The end of the day brings us to Split in the heart of the Coast. It was a long and wet day but the girls were troupers.
