Lake Ashi Pirate ship cruise, Open Air Museum and Onsen in Hakone

Today we travelled to beauiful Hakone where we took a boat cruise on a pirate ship across Lake Ashi. Afterwards,/we visited the Hakone Open air Museum.  using Nature as a dramatic background, it showcard masterpieces of the 20th century sculpture.

After our cruise, we enjoyed yet another delicious lunch. we drove to the

Formal Gardens, an  Open Air museum and enjoyed the beautiful sculptures in a spectacular setting of ponds and meadows.

we drove to Mount Fuji to the 5th step which is At. The mountain is over 12,000 feet high and the world`s 142nd highest mountain and the highest one in Japan. 300,000 people walk up to it every year; it takes eight hours from the Fifth step.

It was cold and rainy and we couldnt wait to get back to the warm bus and back to our hotel.Photo to follow!

 

At the hotel, we had dinner and enjoyed the Japanese tradition of hot spring bathing.  off to bed now!! Another great day awaits us…
